We are in the shortlist!

With Kids have been placed into the short list of The Royal Bank of Scotland's Community Force initiative and we need you help! With over 1000 projects and charities from all over Scotland entered into the running, we need as many votes as we can to be in with a chance of being awarded £6000 from RBS. This money would make a huge difference and would help improve the services we provide.

The voting opens on the 26th of September and we are asking for your support and help. To get a better understanding of what we do and how the award will help With Kids please click HERE. Please take the time to vote for us and spread the word by asking your network of friends to vote for us too. You will be helping us improve our services and in turn, help us to make a difference.

Here Comes The Summer (programme)!

Summer is nearly over, however it is questionable if we actually had one in the first place! The kids are back at school and so we say a sad goodbye to our 2011 Summer Programme at With Kids. We had an action packed 4 weeks of activities, trips and events for our families to ensure that summer breezed by effortlessly. The kids and everyone involved had fantastic days out at Kelburne Country Park, Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum, Pollok Park and Millport when we were lucky enough to be joined by some Scottish sunshine (who'd have thought it!). We joined the Glasgow Science Center for their 10th Birthday celebrations, where there was so much to do that it took us 3 hours just to get up the stairs!

We've also had some great days in with our Cinema Club and arts/games days where we made clay models and puppets, played games and ate loads of popcorn. We finished our Summer Programme with a party at Calton Fire Station where the kids got to have a go of the Fire Fighters equipment as well as making balloon models, they had their faces painted and we even cranked up the karaoke for some disco diva singing - and some very bad singing on the side of the staff.  We are naming no names but you know who you are.
We'd like to say a massive thank you to everyone that helped, assisted and supported us. And of course to our lovely families without whom there would be no Summer Programme. We have added some photos from the Summer Programme to our facebook page, so take a minute to take a look at all the fun we had!
